Daphne's Demise
Photo 2025-04-16, 10 54 16 PM.jpg

Daphne’s Demise is the ever-evolving musical world of Zoë S-Bouffard, born in Sarnia, Ontario and rooted in the quiet corners of indie folk, dream pop, and cosmic country. What began as a solitary project in a bedroom by the lake has grown into a shifting constellation of collaborators and sounds—intimate, otherworldly, and lovingly unkempt.

Guided by a soft ache and a deep love for classic songwriting, Daphne’s Demise blends jangle and lap steel, tape hiss and twilight. It’s music for those in-between hours—when the sun filters through the blinds, when a memory brushes past like wind through curtains. A project that holds space for transformation, reflection, and quiet revelation.

The Heart is a Garden

A heart blooms, wilts, and blooms again. On The Heart is a Garden, Daphne’s Demise—aka Zoë S-Bouffard—tends to the seasons of the soul with a gentle hand and cosmic shimmer. What began as a bedroom project in Sarnia, Ontario now stretches its roots across genre and geography, with a rotating cast of collaborators and a full-band studio sound.

The new EP leans into the warm drift of desert sun and golden-hour sadness—jangle and lap steel, Rhodes keys and spectral melodies. This is dream pop with dirt under the nails. Lo-fi made lush. Cosmic country for the overcast heart.

First single "Bedroom Window" is both departure and homecoming. Written in solitude and recorded with a band, it glows with 70s folk-pop textures and country ache. Look out the window and you’ll see it too: lighting up green, flying away.

As Zoë says: "The album to me feels like a release—a breath of fresh air and a constant coming of age."

We couldn’t say it better ourselves.
