"Unbeknownst to me, when I was a youngster watching Scooby Doo, Where Are You! reruns everyday at 3:00 pm, I was getting my first introduction to 1960s pop music. The show's chase scenes (a lot of running in place, going in and out of different haunted mansion doors, villains with slow moving outstretched arms) were soundtracked by the pure bubblegum pop of Danny Janssen and Austin Roberts. Annie D covers the theme to 'Baywatch', the iconic show that combines action-packed lifeguard rescues with the sun, surf, and drama of the stunning California coastline.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Annie D is the musical project of Ann Driscoll, an Ohio-based multimedia artist who writes, records, and performs songs that fuse the idioms of 60’s pop, horror cinema, and op-ed columns into a funny, bracing, and singular perspective. A graduate of Berklee, she has performed in Egypt, Germany, and across America as a bassist and singer-songwriter and showcased twice at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Cincinnati Citybeat featured her music in their Sound Advice column this past June 2023, describing it as “singular, creative and instantly recognizable” and described her live performances as “a high-energy set of stellar indie pop songs…rocking and catchy original songs…powerful, polished and genuinely entertaining.”

Tobacco City covers the theme to the Nickelodeon classic western TV series 'Hey Dude', about a dude ranch and the quirky adventures of its teenage staff. 📺🎶⁣⁣ ⁣⁣

Perpetually in humble beginnings, Chicago’s Tobacco City serves up urban country sway for good times and bad. Starting as diner co-workers, Lexi Goddard and Chris Coleslaw began performing Neil Young cover sets and writing their first EP, and in 2021 released their debut full length album Tobacco City, USA (Scissortail Records). The duo’s harmonies provide a bed for their nostalgic, melancholy and often silly lyricism.
